The Mission:  Build a high-end, mid-length, power-house rod that can drag a frog fish from the Guntersville slop without promoting angler fatigue.  Designed around the "Berkley Swamp Lord Frog, this Elite Spec is perfect for braided lines and heavy fluorocarbons.  

Our anglers also stressed the need for versatility in this Elite Spec build.  Heavy cover rods often lack utility due to their heavy construction.  This Elite Spec is build on a HM Toray Graphite blank (USA Made), and the balance is perfect.  Pitching at jig into laydowns with 20lb flouro is another excellent technique for this rod.  T-Rig into a trash mat...  you get the picture.

Ideally, this build would be the perfect rod to leave in your boat rigged with heavy line.  Whatever heavy cover you find, work it with this Elite Spec 7'4" Heavy Fast.

Components:  Alpha's Low Drag Guide system line the business end of this stick.  Designed to pass braid and big line with ease, this durable guide system also reduced overall weight and adds to balance.  Our designers simply haven't found a more comfortable and stable reel seat than the Fuji ECSM, so we used that along with high-grade cork foregrip.  Finishing off the build, Alpha's exclusive aluminum balance rear cap, lined with Thor's (our mascot) great looks!!!
